responsible for receiving inbound shipments for multiple sales channels including restaurants, customers, and staff.
Inbound loads can consist of LTL, TL, CL, and small parcel. Specific tasks include physically & systemically receiving
deliveries, replenishment of pick locations, maintaining a safety culture, and ensuring inventory accuracy through
regular cycle counts. Additionally, the Sr. Associate will be responsible for maintaining the Material Handling
Equipment (MHE) performance, maintenance, and evaluating future needs.
The SCW is a 60,000 sqft. temperature controlled space on Chick-fil-A's Support Center Campus in Atlanta, GA
- Works with Supervisor to plan daily workload and trouble shoot any process issues within the facility
- Advises Supervisor immediately of any situation that interrupts or prevents optimum throughput
- Monitor the status of scheduled deliveries, being prepared to receive inventory in a timely manner
- Assures the timely put-away process for inbound deliveries
- Understands daily replenishment needs and pivots throughout the day to support ad hoc inventory moves
- Ensuring items reside in the proper location to support accurate cycle counting
- Works diligently, requiring very limited supervision
- Understand and follow all facility policies and procedures
- Solicits and recommends ideas to leadership for improved quality, accuracy, and productivity
- Participates and contributes during team meetings, creating organic followership within the team
- Cross trained and able to back fill in other operational positions
- Assist in training of new associates on all policies and procedures
- Supports safety practices and ensure 5S principles are followed
- Administrative duties i.e., managing emails and calendars
- Participate in warehouse redesigns and design rack location designs to support product offerings
- Performs other duties as assigned
