This position offers excellent leadership opportunities in a fast-paced, engaging, and high profile environment in the Taxpayer Services Center Section (TSCS) of Filing Services Bureau in the Filing Division. As an Assistant Section Manager, you help to provide oversight and guidance, and direct the activities for leadership teams and staff performing diverse tasks. Tasks may include: providing external customer service via correspondence, chat, or phones; outreach efforts to targeted groups of taxpayers and tax professionals; contact center support activities; providing support to the section's business processes and services; and support of the implementation of new processes and procedures. You may serve on a variety of enterprise teams representing your section, bureau, division or the department.

Position may be extended to up to 24 months or become permanent.
