Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Agent

JP Management, LLC is seeking Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Agent for The Avion located in Elizabeth, NJ. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of our property management department, assisting in the management of residential properties and overseeing leasing activities. This full-time position requires weekdays and weekend flexibility for open houses.

Responsibilities:

• Greet prospects and provide tours of units, common areas, and amenities.
• Immediately record all telephone, email, social media, text, and in-person visits on RM Software
• Inspect model apartments and available units and communicate related service needs to Property Manager.
• Update & Maintain flow of reports.
• Compile documents for application purposes.
• Submit processed applications to the Property Manager.
• Ensure apartment is ready for resident to move-in on agreed date.
• Assist in monitoring renewals. Distribute and follow-up on renewal notices.
• Gather information about market rent competition in the area

Essential Job Functions:

• Two (2) years’ experience in previous relevant customer service.
• Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community team.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Operate telephone, computer, Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook, excel, Property management software.
• Present in a professional manner at all times
• Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.
• Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to client concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
• Knowledge of Rent Manager and Better NOI software a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, a plus but not required
