Position Highlights:

• Position: Research Coordinator
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, 8:00AM-4:30PM with flexibility to work 7:00AM-7:00PM
• Required Travel: Must have access to dependable transportation

What you will do:

• Spearhead patient recruitment efforts by crafting and executing strategies to identify and enroll eligible participants, securing their informed consent, and engaging in consistent communication for participant retention and follow-up.
• Prepare, compile, and submit regulatory documents required for research projects, ensuring compliance with local, federal, and international regulations and guidelines.
• Liaise with regulatory committees, responding promptly to requests for information and preparing necessary documentation for audits or inspections.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of study protocols to accurately inform and obtain consent from potential study participants, ensuring they meet the eligibility criteria.
• Monitor and report on the progress of patient recruitment, strategically addressing hurdles and pivoting approaches as needed to achieve recruitment goals.
• Prepare and revise essential study documents, including informed consent forms, study manuals, source documents and case report forms, upholding ethical, institutional, and regulatory norms.
• Ensure timely reporting of adverse events or other trial-related risks in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Manage detailed record-keeping systems, including electronic data capture and compliance documentation.
• Assist the data teams to streamline the data collection, data processing, and analysis phases.
• Serve as a central communication hub for project teams, clinicians, administrators, external collaborators, and investigators.
• Facilitate effective team meetings and cross-functional communications among various groups.
• Assist in the development of grants, reports, and academic papers related to research findings as needed.
• Coordinate and facilitate relevant workshops, seminars, and scholarly events.
• Undertake technical laboratory tasks, including the careful preparation, processing, secure storage, and shipment of lab samples, with comprehensive training provided to equip you with the specialized skills required for high-standard execution.

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in health related disciplines required (ex, public health); Master's degree strongly preferred
• Certification: Completion of CITI training for Biomedical Research, Good Clinical Practice certification, and Financial Conflict of Interest course completion is required within first month of employment
• Experience: A minimum of 1 years of research experience
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills required/needed to assist with outreach and recruitment of eligible research participants. Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts in laymen's terms. Attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and in team settings communicating with a diverse set of individuals and departments
