Main Street Real Estate Advisors (“MSREA”) is a “boutique” commercial real estate management and advisory services company that delivers superior institutional level services in the greater Phoenix metropolitan market. One of the keys to creating and maintaining a premier property management services company is to recruit, lead, guide, and direct the best possible “Team” of individuals with the very best talents and capabilities of performing at the highest level of service. This requires looking beyond an individual’s general operational skills and experience and seeking those individuals that will be a strong contributor to the “Team”. All Team members must have a passion for performing their duties and an understanding of the linkage between their duties and the day-to-day operations of the property, and the impact all of this has in achieving our Clients goals and objectives.

MSREA has an immediate opening for a Part-Time (20-30 hours per week) – Assistant Commercial Property Manager for multiple office / retail properties. Applicants must have experience with office or retail properties for consideration (residential property management experiences does not meet qualifications).

Responsibilities include:

  • General administrative duties, including typing, photocopying, filing, faxing, greeting guests and scheduling appointments as needed
  • Effectively communicate with Engineering and Administrative staff
  • Preparation of monthly financial and operating reports
  • General accounting duties, including coding and processing of Accounts Payable invoices for approval by Property Manager
  • Vendor contract solicitation, awarding of contracts, supervision
  • Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets
  • Assist with the preparation of CAM/Operating Expense Escalation billings and reconciliations
  • Lease Administration
  • Invoicing and collection of all rents and other charges.
  • Maintain property’s life safety/security procedures
  • Maintain tenant and vendor insurance certificates

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Arizona Real Estate License not required, but is a plus
  • Strong Word and Excel skills
  • Minimum 3-10 years’ experience on a Commercial Property Management team with experience managing retail, office and / or mixed-use properties.
  • MRI or other common accounting software knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Personal initiative
  • Team spirit

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
