Job Description
At Martin Horn, you’ll be learning from talented, smart people at a company you can feel proud to work for. You will have the ability to work on interesting and innovative landmarks and historic projects. When you work at Martin Horn, you have opportunities to gain knowledge and grow your skills on and off-site. We put a lot of trust in our employees and give them ownership over their projects. This is a place where you can grow, learn, and create a career that fits you.
Assistant Project Managers will serve and support one or more Project Managers who generally bill $10 Million a year, whether that is one large project or a few smaller projects.
We are looking for an APM to work on-site at the new Richmond Amphitheater project staring at the beginning of August.
Community-Focused
Whether it’s sending crews to areas of the world stricken with natural disasters or a local under-served children’s center, we build more than just the buildings of our clients. Our superintendents volunteer their skills and time to help with the relief of these tragedies. And with our annual giving over 20% of our total net profits, giving back is a major cornerstone of our entire operation.
Employee Loyalty and Satisfaction
Our average employee tenure is over 10.25 years, including our field personnel. That’s five-times longer than the industry average. After conducting an anonymous survey, we found that employee satisfaction was 9/10. The number-one reason listed for happiness? “The people I get to work with every day.”
Care For the Environment
As the first and only Charlottesville contractor to operate out of a LEED-EB certified office, we are committed to reducing our overall carbon footprint. All of our principals drive electric vehicles, powered by the solar panels installed to our office roof. We even provide free electric vehicle charging to the public.
