Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Assist in development of well-conceived and timely project plans that outline and map the overall project process and breaks critical focus areas that provide detailed, well-informed roadmaps and risk aversion planning.
- Assist in performing all project management duties for major new construction, renovation, infrastructure, and facilities related projects using mastery of domain knowledge and extensive business experience.
- Assist in coordinating, scheduling and managing all construction management activities, expedite contract requirements on a daily and weekly basis and identify and resolve construction problems as they develop.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records.
- Manage material submittals and track long lead items Ensure that material received is properly inspected for quantity and quality, and compliance with specification and approved submittals.
- Help the project team to comply with all jobsite reporting requirements, including daily reports, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports, weekly updates to the monthly updates to the construction schedule.
- Monitor all shop drawing and submittals for compliance with the contract specification and help Project Managers comply with the submittal schedule, contract documents and company reporting requirements.
- Attend required jobsite meetings.
- Maintain safety standards.
- Track and monitor project submittals, approvals, schedules, and changes.
- Close out the project in compliance with the contract documents.
- Maintain safety standards – safety planning is to be included in all pre-job planning and considered foremost in the daily operations.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of CM experience in facility renovation projects.
- Experience working as an entry level Project Manager on various designs is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong project management skills
- Experience working in multi-discipline teams
- Experience with state/government agencies
