Job Description
George Fox University announces a full-time Tenure Track faculty position in Kinesiology to begin in Spring 2024. The Department of Kinesiology is seeking a faculty member who is enthusiastic about providing engaging and effective instruction and mentoring to undergraduate students and engaging in translation research. The ideal candidate will have experience with classroom and clinical instruction. Further, experience with academic advising is highly valued.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Teach a full-time course load for Spring Semesters and Fall Semesters
● Maintain a high standard in classroom teaching through engaging and effective
instruction, exhibiting awareness and understanding of best practices in undergraduate
education through application in the classroom, and remaining current with issues,
curriculum, and classroom approaches in the Kinesiology discipline
● Engage in scholarship that contributes to the advancement of Exercise Science as a
profession
● Participate in the ongoing and innovative work of the Department of Kinesiology, Allied
Health Sciences, Wellness Enterprise, and University
● Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Kinesiology professionals
and other campus educators
● Student Advising
Qualifications
● Doctoral degree in kinesiology or a related field.
● Teaching experience in a higher education institution
● Excellent professional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
● Commitment to maintaining consistently high professional standards.
● Must be able to work effectively within and embrace working with a growing, innovative
team.
● A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential;
demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
● All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their
Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement
with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments
expressed in the Statement of Faith.
Salary and Rank
Appointment at the Assistant Professor level Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
