I. POSITION PURPOSE
Assists the Facilities Supervisor in managing day-to-day facilities operations; including, grounds and systems maintenance, janitorial oversight, employee and volunteer safety, facility security, and energy management, as well as construction or renovation projects as assigned.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Manages the ongoing maintenance of parish buildings and grounds.
B. Helps manage and when necessary, purchases maintenance equipment and supplies, identifying outside contractors, vendors, and service providers as appropriate.
C. Inspects custodial work for cleanliness and consistency with standards.
D. Assures security of facilities, including key access and control systems.
E. Assists with the parish safety program.
F. Provides hands-on repair and maintenance of systems and structures as necessary.
G. Assists in implementing the annual capital improvement program consistent with budget and schedule.
H. Assists with implementing a long-range work plan and an annual work program for plant operations and maintenance.
I. Assists with the parish energy management program.
J. Scheduled work hours per pay period will be 50 hours.
III. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
A. Available on-call 24 hours/day for emergencies.
B. Participates in staff retreats.
C. Assures necessary facilities-related support to all parish programs and special events.
D. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
