Entry Level Billing Specialist

Relate Counseling Center, a non-profit outpatient mental health clinic located in Minnetonka and Eden Prairie. We are a certified community mental health center focused on meeting the unique mental health needs of our community regardless of a client’s ability to pay for services. We have an Entry-level Billing Specialist position available.

Job responsibilities:

This position will assist our billing processes and collections efforts. This entry-level position encompasses various responsibilities within comprehensive medical billing and collections. This position will also provide backup support to our reception desk and record requests.

• Generate and submit claims to insurance companies and post payments
• Resolve billing inquiries and outstanding balances with customers
• Communicate and assist client inquiries on insurance coverage and payments
• Backup to the receptionist as needed by greeting, and assisting clients in-person and via phone

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday schedule will be determined between 8 am – 6 pm at our Minnetonka location.

Job requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary coursework in healthcare administration or related field is a plus
• A basic understanding of medical billing procedures is desirable but not required; training will be provided
• Ability to deliver a great customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic PC skills

Salary: $18-$20 per hour dependent on qualifications
