Our Westerville, Ohio client has a contract opportunity for a Application Test Analyst.
Position Details:

• If local to Columbus Ohio, hybrid working.
• Experience with testing application development projects, in both waterfall and agile methodologies
• Experience with testing integration between large systems; familiar with EDI, API and other integration methods
• Experience test planning, writing scripts, manual test execution (if automate test experience that is a plus), reporting metrics and status on testing
• Preferred supply chain/logistics experience in warehouse management systems and transportation systems
• Experience in transportation logistics is ideal.
• Strong profiles with min. of 6-8 experience.

Job Description:

• Software QA Engineers test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools.
• Able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Perl/Java scripts and/or user-level automated tools.
• SQA Engineers work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation.
• SQA Engineers should also work with groups such as Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests and driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
• 1-3 years of QA experience
• Strong track record of shipping high quality desktop and/or mobile client applications.
• Experience with Black box, Gray box, and White box testing
• Strong debugging skills
• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
• Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
• Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and able to synthesize the results
• Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
