The Application Support Analyst will deliver Application Support for primary incident resolution or escalation to appropriate IT teams as needed. Responsibilities include initial documentation, troubleshooting, research, and resolution of incoming incidents and requests concerning the use of supported software. The primary method of contact is email, phone, Teams chat or via the knowledge base tool as well as some self-service platforms.
- Manage issue intake, investigation, and resolution with excellent communication skills while supporting multiple applications
- Log 100% of issues into the ticketing system to include description of issue, troubleshooting performed, resolution and/or purpose for escalation
- Follow knowledge articles to ensure the required troubleshooting, information gathered and escalations are handled accurately
- Ensure applications follow standards for better supportability while reporting any deviants from said standards as an issue to be resolved
- Responsible to work with the IT teams and architects to drive standards for increased supportability which includes striving to deliver a single pane of glass for bugs, errors, etc
- Perform own job responsibilities with commitment to quality and customer satisfaction - doing what's right for the team and for the enterprise
- Identify and report security risks in accordance to compliance
- 2+ years of experience or degree, preferred
- Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes and practices
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills as well as an ability to be diplomatic in dealings with a variety of areas across the company
- Able to run SQL scripts during investigations
- Ability to multi-task - manage multiple tasks at a time; quickly and accurately shift attention among multiple tasks
- Problem solving skills: demonstrate a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems - unusually decisive in handling difficult business problems and can translate problems into practical solutions
- Experience effectively working on projects with cross-functional teams (including software developers, infrastructure and QA teams)
