Job Description
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is currently accepting applications for Part- Time Youth Development Specialists. The Youth Development Specialist is responsible for safety, administrative compliance and school site programming.
Duties include but not limited to: adhering to all policies, procedures and processes; safety of members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities; administrative compliance and reporting with accuracy; membership tracking; implementing assigned programming and activities; providing excellent customer service; building relationships; and being a positive role model.
This position may require working with large groups of youth.
At the school sites, youth receive targeted services in a safe, supportive environment from Boys & Girls Clubs staff who believe in the organization’s mission. The Club experience focuses on three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Positive Citizenship.
Education and work experience requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience working with youth
Qualifications include:
- Available to work between the hours of 2:00 pm- 7:00pm, Monday – Friday during school year
- Ability to be a positive role model
- Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
- Ability to relate to at-risk youth
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must be able to pass all required background screens and drug screens at any time
Pay & Benefits
- Pay: $14.00 per hour
