The instructor will provide high-quality instruction and maintain a positive, safe learning environment for all students enrolled in our Adult Education|OTC QuickBooks class. The QuickBooks Instructor will demonstrate and instruct students on the basics of computerized accounting and bookkeeping skills. The instructor will be responsible for ensuring that a syllabus, lesson plans, and instructional materials that reflect appropriate learning objectives are readily available to perform the required instruction. The instructor will also coordinate with the Adult Education administrators and staff to ensure grades, attendance, and other information needed are available for student records.
STARTING DATE: TBD - Classes begin 3/4/2024
SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Adult Education Employees Salary Schedule, based on experience and education
REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education or designee

WORKWEEK/YEAR: Mondays from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or possession of a General Education Development (GED) certi?cate. Minimum two (2) years of work experience using Intuit QuickBooks. Working knowledge in one or more Intuit subjects. Proven capability to prepare correspondence to all stakeholders. Ability to operate various o?ce machines. A motivated self-starter with strong time-management abilities. Able to work quickly and independently, handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve. Professional tact diplomacy and presentation with sta?, students, and stakeholders. Record of excellent attendance. Ability to establish and maintain positive and e?ective working relationships with administrations, sta?, students, associates, vendors, and community members.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU). Certified Bookkeeper from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB). Reside or work in Medina County. Previous experience in education. Associate's degree or higher. Experience working within a budget.
