Salary Schedule


To facilitate, design, integrate, test, implement, manage and support web presence in support of CTE strategic goals and district policies.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  1. Bachelor’s Degree with coursework related to technology and two (2) years of experience in the management of web sites, databases, interactive consumer portals, web tools and digital assets; OR Associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience in the management of web sites, databases, interactive consumer portals, web tools and digital assets or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. All experience must have occurred within the past six (6) years.

  2. Experience with Sharepoint; web-based reporting tools and WEB CONTENT management platforms such as HTML and CSS.

  3. Knowledge of contemporary web site management techniques and practices necessary to maintain an effective consumer facing web site that features complex HTML documents with embedded graphics, forms, audio, video and script objects.

  4. Demonstrated experience in working on teams to establish goals and deliver results.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and commitment to decentralized decision making, and accountability for results. Excellent communication and project planning skills with an ability to provide team leadership in the use of technical and web tools. Superior analytical skills and ability to apply contemporary web practices and computer applications to meet desired outcomes. Knowledge of project management as is relates to large web-based initiatives. Ability to contribute to the development of management plans that apply technology to support various strategic initiatives. Ability to plan work and effectively utilize time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Describe physical conditions of this position.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated as Light Work.

70 Sitting: Resting with the body supported by the buttocks or thighs.
10 Standing: Assuming an upright position on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
10 Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
5 Bending: Lowering the body forward from the waist.
5 Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
5 Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position through the use of the upper extremities and back muscles exerting up to 10 pounds of force.
80 Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm.
70 Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
90 Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately, loudly or quickly.
90 Hearing Acuity: The ability to perceive speech and other environmental sounds at normal loudness levels.
90 Visual Acuity: The power to see at a level which allows reading of numbers and text, operation of equipment, inspection of machines, etc.
Note: Will total more than 100 percent as several activities may be performed at one time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Conditions the worker will be subject to in this position.
Indoors and Outdoors: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manifest a professional code of ethics and values.
* Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathic manner representing OCPS in a positive light.
* Model the routine, intentional and effective use of technology in daily work, including communications, organization and management tasks.
* Remain current in the use of contemporary web tools.
* Work with the senior administrator for marketing to constantly update, improve and evaluate the CTE web sites, including the CTE connect portal.
* Prepare documents for applications, processes and programs as assigned.
* Ensure compliance with all OCPS technology policies and management directives.
* Assist other CTE managers with technology and web related projects as directed by the associate superintendent, career and technical education.
* Ensure all web site submissions adhere to district standards for Internet publishing; works with campus personnel on developing effective CTE WEB CONTENT for students, prospects and the general public.
* Work with personnel to create and post original content for CTE’s various web sites.
* Work under the general direction of the senior administrator for marketing in assigned area at a level sufficient to analyze and support systems and processes of moderate complexity to resolve problems expeditiously, offering alternatives where appropriate.
* Produce estimates of time to complete assigned tasks, maintain and meet agreed-upon deadlines and schedules that achieve desired results meeting quality expectations as district needs evolve.
* Keep the senior administrator for marketing informed about issues and incidents about which he should be aware.
∗ Follow the district’s policies and procedures as related to all HRMD guidelines and the district’s instructional initiatives.
∗ Follow the district’s policies and procedures as related to fixed assets.
∗ Develop leadership in subordinates.
∗ Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology being used by OCPS. With the support of the district, attend training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.
∗ Responsible for maintaining timely and accurate information and accountable for the quality of information maintained by those they supervise.
∗ Responsible for self-development and keeping up to date on current research, trends and best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
* Essential Performance Responsibilities
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Non-bargaining unit compensation plan, twelve months, 8.0 hours per day.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
