The Division of Student Affairs Marketing & Communications Office serves departments within the Division as well as provides support for projects of the Vice President for Student Affairs. We produce content in order to build ties between students, the Florida State University campus community and staff within the Division of Student Affairs. The Marketing and Communications Office delivers clear messages to students and their families as well as on- and off-campus partners. Our student-centered approach to communication uses a combination of compelling visuals, creative media strategies and integrated marketing efforts. Our goal is to help all Florida State students feel connected and engaged with their campus community.
ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for activities related to production and implementation of website media, electronic media and enterprise-level software contracts related to the Division of Student Affairs (DSA) public relations and Communications, such as maintaining and building websites for the DSA, producing web content for Division websites and using software for website governance and operation.
This role will help with website project management and DSA email communication with students as well as DSA email communication with additional stakeholders. This position will provide support both public and internal for websites and assist users with issues related to websites and electronic media platforms and networked web platforms.
QualificationsA Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Knowledge of web design and development.
Ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Efficient in standard web technologies such as HTML, CSS, server-side scripting languages such as Perl and PHP, client-side programming such as javascript, and web content management systems such as Wordpress or Drupal to develop, implement and maintain websites.

Anticipated starting salary is approximately $18.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
