We have a part time opening for a Data Entry Clerk/Assistant where you can work with a group of compassionate upright professionals right here in the Historic Downtown Perrysburg area. Our team includes mental health counselors, wellness practitioners, and an office staff with the opportunity for future expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Training period (3 months)
- Data Entry
- Record all incoming and outgoing payments from insurance companies and clients.
- Collect insurance explanations of payments (EOPs or EOBs) from mail, email, online portals, and fax.
- Track denied claims information.
- Communicate insurance denials to providers.
- Make copies of and shred claims as needed.
- General assistant to office manager
Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills (Google Office Suite, Excel, Printer/Scanner).
- Background check.
- Prior experience in insurance billing and/or handling is beneficial but not required.
- This is a 1099 position (independent contractor)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
