ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE - HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRAR
Qualifications:
1. Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the following areas: Microsoft Word, Excel, Google apps, keyboarding skills of 50+ words per minute.
3. Ability to learn and manage software and procedures for creating and maintaining the school course schedule, along with registration and information management of student data.
4. Desire to work with students, parents, and community members within the office setting.
5. Strong analytic and organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and carry out job objectives without supervision.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
7. Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines required.
8. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on new and shared responsibilities.
9. High school degree minimum, associate degree preferred. Similar office work experience is preferred.
Reports To: High School Principal/Associate Principal
Job Goal: Under the direction of the school administrator(s), perform clerical duties that support the delivery of educational services and the effective management of building operations in the most efficient, effective, and courteous manner possible. This position includes a heavy emphasis on customer service – for parents, students, staff, community members and others. In particular, this individual will take primary responsibility for the registration of students, as well as the technical programming of the school course schedule.
Performance Responsibilities:
Clerical:
- Assist parents, students, and teachers.
- Work with and maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
- Generate and distribute student report cards and transcripts.
- Maintain student records, generate reports, and set up courses and sections for students in the school’s student information system (PowerSchool).
- Work closely with administrators to build Master Schedule, assign classes and sections to staff schedules, and generate student schedules.
- Assist with gathering and analyzing student data from the school’s student information system (PowerSchool) for state reports.
- Produce/update the Course Booklet.
- Compile necessary documents and reports using Google and/or Microsoft programs.
- Provide clerical assistance to counselors and school social worker.
General/Miscellaneous:
- Greet and/or supervise students and visitors in the student services office.
- Complete basic position responsibilities of other main office associates as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the building administrators.
Terms: Twelve month year. Wage and work year to be set by the board.
Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Ashwaubenon Educational Support Staff Employee Handbook.
