We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, to record financial transactions, maintain and file requisite documents, and assist in running payrolls and generating invoices. Includes some office management duties, supply ordering, and light cleaning. Tax preparation experience or an interest to learn preferred.
Qualifications:
- High School degree, college degree or some college is a plus, additional qualification as an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper in a professional office.
- Previous bookkeeping experience needed.
- Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Organize and scheduling appointments
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Develop and maintain filing systems
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Maintain contact lists
- Provide general support to visitors
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
- Provide support to accountant
- Establish different accounts
- Maintain records of financial transactions by posting and verifying
- Define bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts
- Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements
- Assist in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices
