Idaho National Laboratory Communications and External Engagement group is seeking a ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT to support the Manager of STEM Education and Tribal Engagement.
This position works a 9/80 schedule, onsite in our offices in Idaho Falls with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities:
This position provides administrative support to the Manager of STEM Education and Tribal Engagement and direct support staff. Responsibilities include managing the office; organizing and expediting the flow of work through the office; resolving problems and performing time sensitive tasks; monitoring projects or tasks by tracking actions, status, and schedules; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with managers, peers, co-workers, and customers; initiating and supporting actions that directly contribute to INL's mission/strategy and understanding the administrative support role in achieving these objectives.
Maintaining scheduling for manager, organizing meetings, answering phones and emails from both internal and external collaborators, updating calendars, providing procurement support as needed, compiling and distributing multiple reports, submitting internal forms on an as-needed basis and handling travel arrangements for conferences and external events.
Program support responsibilities include event coordination correspondence, . Additional duties include the use of allowable and unallowable procurement procedures and submitting the required follow-up paperwork. This position will routinely interact with external and internal customers, as well as STEM, tribal engagement and support staff throughout the organization.
Maintain confidentiality and security of administrative and technical information including personnel issues and sensitive data, in accordance with Laboratory policies and procedures. Use extensive personal knowledge and experience to interface with all levels of management, personnel, and external customers to execute administrative functions.
Minimum Requirements:
A High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years related work experience is required.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Position requires excellent organization skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative, and work in a team environment.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook are required.
Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" / "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Grade 150-AS300 ($44,004-70,392)
