Job Summary
**The position will be filled commensurate with the successful candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and education at either the Administrative Assistant I or II or III level in accordance with business needs and priorities.
Under direct supervision, this role provides entry-level clerical and administrative/secretarial support to a management level(s) and department or staff. Performs routine office duties such as: answering and screening telephone calls, making appointments and scheduling meetings, processing mail and faxes, composing routine correspondence, collecting, compiling and analyzing basic information and data, answering routine inquiries, maintaining and updating office supplies, assisting in maintenance of department files and performing data entry following detailed instructions and guidelines. May handle confidential records or information and make travel arrangements. Provides basic typing and word processing support. Uses computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and presentation software This role will be interfacing with craft / union workers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience required for entry into this job include the following: **(Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications)
Administrative I:
- 0-2 years of directly related experience.
- Basic understanding of the operation of computerized equipment and standard office equipment
- Basic skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and presentation software
- Oral and written communication skills
Administrative II:
- 3+ years of directly related experience
- Ability to collect, compile and analyze information and data
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficient skills in operating computerized and standard office equipment
- Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and presentation software understanding of company policies and procedures
- Some clerical/administrative experience
- Understanding of SAP
Administrative III:
- 5+ years of extensive clerical/administrative experience
- Ability to collect, compile and analyze information and data
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High level of initiative and ability to exercise judgment and discretion
- Strong skills in operating computerized and standard office equipment
- Excellent skills using word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and presentation software
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proficient use of SAP
