JOB SUMMARY
Provides reception and organizational support to community services offered through the Goodwill Contract Services.
JOB SCHEDULE
Goodwill Contract Services Assistant. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm for $15.50 per hour, plus benefits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- In a courteous manner, controls visitor access, receives visitors in lobby, directing them to appropriate destinations.
- Checks arriving and departing supported workers, noting mode of transportation, alternating task with other staff, if necessary.
- Receives incoming phone calls with tact and diplomacy, routing calls to proper extension, paging authorized personnel receiving and recording messages.
- Maintains a current list of staff names and telephone numbers for communication purposes. Interacts professionally with other agency personnel, supported workers, parents, employers and others while giving and receiving information regarding program participation to authorized persons only.
- Performs routine clerical duties such as typing memos, correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes. Ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of content in all correspondence and written material.
- Collects and compiles information for invoicing specific funding sources, including attendance of program participants.
- Assists in compiling participant payroll information daily to submit to accounting for accurate commensurate payment to supported workers.
- Maintains an accurate inventory of office supplies. Prepares request for needed supplies and submits to Workforce Development Assistant for compilation of supply order.
- Files pertinent information including billing, participant files and monthly documentation in a timely manner, maintaining files in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Places expired files and documents in the proper orderly storage following department guidelines.
- Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs, and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings. Maintains current certifications in First Aid and CPR and administers First Aid and CPR if required.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains secure environment by following safety procedures of the Company.
- May transport individual(s) served to work events.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate with demonstrated computer knowledge in Word and Excel applications. Experience working with those with disabilities is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, seeing, and depth perception.
- Lifting/Carrying/ Pushing/Pulling: Medium Work -- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
SPECIAL CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, with a good driving record.
- Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including current automobile insurance inspection, and license plate.
- Must be eligible for a positive outcome on required State of Oklahoma criminal conviction background check.
- Must maintain Goodwill’s Drug-Free Workplace.
- Goodwill considers this a safety sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.
- Must be able to pass a community service worker registry inquiry.
