SUMMARY
Smooth, efficient operation of the school office to create a positive environment to educate children. Provide assistance to Food Service Accounting, Community Education, Activities Department and School Building Office. Support the operation of the office to promote the best interests of the school district. Performs related work as directed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned
- Serves as receptionist and gives information or directs visitors and parents to appropriate staff members.
- Evaluate and distribute any applicable State Department correspondence.
- Collect, receipt, track and deposit funds.
- Will work at the Point of Sale in the cafeteria.
- Communicate with families when needed.
- Distribute mail- change and manage mailboxes.
- Assist in the management of student data in the student database.
- Communicate with patrons, staff, screen visitors and telephone calls.
- Professionally represents the school & effectively interacts with parents, community, staff and students.
- Determine when incoming messages involve crisis situations and relay correct messages to appropriate personnel.
- Schedule appointments and meetings and maintain calendars.
- Maintain appropriate files and historical records.
- Assist in the updating of student records, cumulative files, & transcripts. Provide copies upon request.
- Support troubleshooting and data entry into the JMC student data management program.
