The Lower Merion School District is hiring a Student Services team member to focus on Child Accounting, PIMS, and other Special Education, and Student Services data needs. This position is classified as a DSRA (District Senior Administrative Secretary). This position will primarily support the Student Services, Special Education, and Residency Departments.
Job related responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- PIMS Data collection and reporting
- Child Accounting Reporting, PDE Enrollment Reporting
- Data management of Special Education Data, including children count, staff tracking, Deaf & Blind Census, summer submissions
- Supporting IEP Process, including technology support for IEP writer, tracking permissions to evaluate
- Approved Private School Elecronic Management System (APSEM) administration
- Billing for and tracking charter schools enrollment
- Supporting Residency work with residency investigations and Mutiple Occupancy processes.
- Maintains accurate data and submits reports timely and accurately
- Maintains procedural knowledge of state and federal data reporting guidelines
- Learns and maintains knowledge of systems used
- Works effectively with other departments and stakeholders to coordinate data and information
- Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the systems.
- Uses a variety of resources to gather information to respond to questions as needed.
- Organizes and maintains a fling system for records.
- Assume other related responsibilities that may be assigned by the Director of Student Services and Special Education, Assistant to the Superintendent, or any other relevant Administrator.
The preferred candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with District Administrators, professionals, contractors, and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will also have the following qualifications: Must be at least proficient in knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook; Must successfully complete LMSD qualifying tests; Applicant must be able to work well in a team setting; Possess ability to set priorities and multi-task to complete projects on time; Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to use technology to perform job efficiently; Possess organizational competencies; strong accounting abilities, written and verbal communication skills; The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred. Job related experience in public school districts is an advantage.
Act 34 and 151 clearances and FBI registration number required. This is a 12-month position. Starting Salary for 23-24 school year is $52,974 with benefits.
