The Federal Public Defender, District of Nevada, is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time position located in the Las Vegas Office. This position will provide both administrative and human resources support for the administrative unit.
Applicants must have excellent computer and word processing skills including Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency; be detail-oriented; efficient in preparing vouchers and financial documents for processing; and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to, travel and payment processing, procurement, expert contract review and facilities management. Human resources duties include, but are not limited to, onboarding new staff and interns; benefits and compensation; and leave tracking. A minimum of 3 years of Administrative Assistant experience is preferred. Also, experience in criminal defense support or in federal litigation is preferred. Please include any related paralegal or language skills. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
