Job Description
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success.
Responsibilities:
- Open, sort and distribute mail
- Record check receipts and create daily bank deposit
- Greet and assist onsite guests
- Answer inbound telephone calls
- Maintain membership database and Business Agent assignment roster
- Assist Office Manager in planning and running annual convention
- Perform secretarial work for staff attorneys and Executive Director
- Prepare various mailings as assigned
- Manage other projects for Executive Director and Finance Director as needed
Qualifications:
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional and confidential work ethic
- Prior experience working in the labor sector or a law office a plus
