Summary/Objective:

Bliss Products is searching for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist with exceptional organizational skills and drive to augment our already thriving accounting team. This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, playing a crucial part in the success of our company's AP/AR functions. Situated in our Lithia Springs, GA headquarters, you'll support all aspects of AP/AR processes, encompassing invoice processing, payment verification, and vendor/client correspondence. Your role will ensure the quality and success of various Bliss projects, such as playgrounds, shade structures, splash pads, and beyond.

As an AP/AR Specialist at Bliss Products, you'll assist the accounting manager with activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivables, and assisting the bid team to source bids and the order administrator to process orders. Your role involves identifying discrepancies, resolving issues promptly, and contributing to process enhancements for improved efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.

Your collaborations will span various entities, including Bliss, municipalities, and a large vendor base, as well as General Contractors and Subcontractors. You'll engage in meticulous financial transactions from bidding to payment processing, ensuring seamless transactions and timely payments to vendors and contractors.

The AP/AR Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure accurate input of invoice data into the accounting system.
• Validate data for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain vendor and client databases.
• Reconcile vendor statements with accounts payable records.
• Assist in sourcing bids for the estimating team.
• Process orders & confirm delivery dates.
• Support audits and maintain data security.
• Identify process optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with the accounting team.
• Continuously seek improvement in finance processes. 

Required Education and Experience:

• Experience with QuickBooks
• High School Diploma or GED — required.
• Associate degree in Project or Systems Management, Accounting, or similar field a plus.
• Proven ability to multitask under pressure and prioritize urgent situations.
• Working knowledge of MS Suite of software (Word, Excel, and Teams).
• Broad understanding of standard construction practices a plus.
