SalaryWe are looking for someone with strong medical Accounts Receivables skills and experience. Responsibilities include: daily follow-up on accounts, daily filing of claims and appeals, and general collections of outstanding accounts. The AR Specialist will work Accounts Receivables of insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc., claims that are over 30 days old, denied or underpaid. The position requires extensive phone contact with insurance companies, initiating appeals or reconsideration, as well as with insurance guarantors as necessary to resolve outstanding accounts. The AR Specialist will identify payment obstacles and formulate solutions to achieve the maximum reimbursement for each account worked.
Position Qualifications:
· 3+ Years Prior Medical AR Experience,
· Experience with EClinical Works,
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Manage multiple work queues for follow-up and denials by engaging payor websites and initiate calls in order to ensure prompt payment of medical claims.
- Reviews incoming correspondence and takes appropriate action. Responds promptly to inquiries.
- Identifies denial trends and notifies Supervisor to prevent future denials and further delay in payments.
- Pursues appeals and takes the necessary steps to bring accounts to resolution.
- Analyzes accounts for errors, adjustments and credits, issuing corrected entries when necessary. Updates account information accordingly.
- Document clear action taken on each account as well as what further action is needed to capture payment. Work output is documented clearly.
- Ability to meet departmental standard for quality and productivity.
- Other duties as assigned.
