TEC is the largest and most experienced erosion control contractor in the Southeast. TEC offers clients comprehensive erosion control, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up/control services.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all matters of business. It is essential to understand the challenges faced by TEC's operations group and the difficulties associated with customer requests, how that is conveyed throughout the operations organization, and the challenges encountered when reviewing the work performed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee collections manager and department
- Learn the setup of SL and company processes for the collections department and how it feeds from other areas of SL, including collection processes from calls, emails, liens, attorneys, etc.
- Aid in the reassignment of collection customers as needed between collectors
- Participate in collections meetings and direct collectors and reps on action items needed where applicable-review reports and notes associated with invoices before the meeting.
- Ensure all deposits are posted in cash applications timely.
- Ensure all customer portals are being reviewed and updated in SL timely.
- Ensure all follow-ups with customers, reps, etc., are done promptly.
- Ensure all new customers are set up in SL correctly and information needed is given to complete (JIFs)
- Review and sign off on all IPRs.
- The Business Manager will work with the collection manager and payroll to complete certified payrolls and ensure they are submitted promptly.
Contracts
- Review contracts in detail received both as hard copies and electronically.
- Coordinate with the customer and update the contract's terms and conditions if not compliant with TECs requirements. Submit any abnormal changes to the CFO for approval.
Reports
- Generate periodic informational reports for management
- Some reports will be self-generated, while TEC's SL report writer may create others.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or relevant role
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems
- Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques
- BSc/Ba in Business Management or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
