GSP North America is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk in Spartanburg, South Carolina (29303)
About the Role:
The Accounts Payable department is responsible for the financial, administrative, and clerical support of a company. They oversee making payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices or bills, and recording the company’s short-term debts. This department is vital for the smooth functioning of any business entity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable:
- Process customer payments and post in ERP system.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Issue customer warranty claim credits
- Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports and records.
- Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
- Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records.
Job Qualifications
- Attention to detail & Thoroughness.
- PC & Excel proficiency
- General math skills
- Analyzing information
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or related field preferred
- Previous AR/AP experience required (Min 2 years)
