We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be familiar with construction job costing. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and purchase orders
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare and process weekly check and ACH runs
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Accounts Payable records
- Assist with month-end closing activities as needed
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using accounting software
- Experience with account reconciliation processes
- Experience with Job Costing accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
