Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting and possess excellent attention to detail. The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the timely and accurate flow of cash disbursements in accordance with all accounting and company policy. This position supports the operation of all departments through appropriate and efficient communication and distribution of funds to designated vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process invoices in an accurate and timely manner, for a large volume of company accounts. This includes receiving, processing, and verifying the payment of invoices within Sage Intacct
• Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, vendor invoices and disbursement filing, AP invoice matching and filing
• Reconcile credit card and charge account transactions on a monthly basis
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and identify overdue payments. Research and resolve any outstanding balances on accounts.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions, post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records, track expenses and process expense reports
• Review and reconcile any invoice discrepancies
• Maintain regular, professional verbal and written communication with vendors and company employes, responding to all inquiries
• Serve as the primary contact for purchase orders and invoices, including reviewing requests, preparing, and routing for approval, and maintaining purchase orders and invoices. Scan bills without purchase orders, send scanned documents for approval as necessary.
• Assist all departments in coding and budgeting of all expenses
• Perform regular data entry associated with Accounts Payable and maintain associated databases
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including entering data into accounting software, and help in preparing monthly financial reports
• Assist with the annual audit as requested; collaborate with other Accounting-related functions to help the business
• Identity, document, and update Accounts Payable process and procedures as necessary

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
