The Accounts Payable Supervisor provides supervision, coaching, training and development of our Non-Inventory A/P team while assisting the A/P Manager with system implementation and streamlining processes. This role will work closely and have regular interactions with employees and vendors. The A/P Supervisor will take the lead in maintaining DocuPeak, our automated invoice approval system, ensuring policies and procedures are followed effectively, transactions are processed timely, and inquiries are resolved within a reasonable time-frame.
The Accounts Payable Supervisor position will report to the Accounts Payable Manager, Non-Inventory.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will have experience in the following areas and will be responsible for the following reporting and communication requirements:
- Supervise a team of four
- Manage expenses for over 300 locations nationwide
- Reconcile and upload transactions into our A/P system
- Assist with reviewing expense reports in Concur, monitor T&E/reimbursements for policy compliance and distribute reporting for internal review
- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly check runs, credit card and ACH payments
- Perform new employee staff training
- Train team members on new/existing procedures
- Assists with internal and external audit requests
- Participate in performance reviews and setting employee objectives
- Manage escalated issues with internal employees and vendors
- Evaluate existing procedures for operational efficiencies
- Help implement department projects
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- 2+ years of Lead or Supervisory experience
- 2-year Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Ability to work independently or with a team
