Job Summary
St.Joseph School seeks a part-time Accounts Payable Specialist (Accounting Intern). This position helps manage the school's cash flow, by posting business transactions, processing invoices, and verifying financial data in order to ensure timely pay to vendors and suppliers. They will support the Finance & Accounting team in business operations,monthly close,Financial Aid,and ad-hoc assignments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
? Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
? Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
? Process payments,print and obtain signatures on all checks.
? File and maintain vendor records.
? Execute monthly credit card and bank account reconciliations.
? Help support the AR, Payroll, Financial Aid,and Enrollment process.
? Assist Finance Director & Accounting Manager on Ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Qualifications
? Respect and comfort working with a Catholic,Jesuit organization
? Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and/or bookkeeping.
? Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to meet established deadlines and maintain strict confidentiality.
Compensation ? Salary:$20-30/hr,(DOE).
? Hours:10-20hrs/week.Days and times are flexible.
