Accounts Payable Specialist (Part Time)

Wild Eggs Operations, LLC, is a full-service Breakfast-Brunch-Lunch restaurant based out of Louisville, KY. We are ready to grow and ready to find the best restaurant management candidates to join our team in the following markets: Indianapolis, IN. If you would like to have your evenings free, then Wild Eggs might be the perfect fit. Our management shifts usually end at 3:30 pm every day. This position does require you to work on holidays and Saturdays & Sundays, as we are a fast-paced, weekend-driven business. We boast a “no corporate politics” environment and we are proud to say that every manager has routine interaction with our senior management leadership.

The Accounts Payable Specialist reports to the Controller or Accountant II. General duties will include vendor and account coding, preparing, entering, and validating batches into the system. Other task and responsibilities assigned by their supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for administering the following AP functions for Wild Eggs tomaintain established accounting principles, practices, and procedures:

1. Process Invoices

• Invoice receipt and verification of approvals/tracking
• Review for proper approval
• Vendor and Account codes and input
• Prepare and enter invoices into system
• Initiating vendor setups

2. Payment Processing

• Create cash requirement
• Check runs and distribution of checks

3. EDI Invoice Payment

• Review reports for errors
• Review and update cross-reference tables
• Merge batches
• Move spool files to image queue

4. Statement research

• Review outstanding invoices per client specifications

5. Misc Job Duties

• Stop payments-prepare information to give to revenue department to place stop
• Void checks-void check in system as well as voiding invoice if the invoice will not be paid again
• Garnishments-upload spreadsheet from payroll and process for payment-send copy of check register to
• Ensure that all invoices have been scanned at period end before destroying
• Manager vendor relations
• Aging generation, verification and balancing
• Manager Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma required and three or four years of accounting experience required.
• Business or Accounting degree preferred.
• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
