Accounts Payable - Office Clerk

SALARY: $18.00 -$21.00 per hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work as a team or autonomously in a high speed work environment.
• Payroll support - from daily timecard entry and review through full processing of weekly payroll.
• M-E Close support - running month end Accounts Payable reports and compiling Accounts Payable accrual for Accountant.
• Primary contact for vendors.
• Facility support for Safety and Training items.
• Onboarding support for up to 200 seasonal employees.
• General clerical duties including phones and filing.
• Assist Maintenance Staff with work orders, scheduling, and Procurement.
• Coordinate Harvest shipments.
• Actively participate in the Plant Engagement Committee.
• Assist in development of various communications (Banners, Visual Boards, etc.).
• Utilize VPO tools to achieve KPI targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, GAP analysis, MCRS meeting schedules, action logs, 5-why's, 5S, PDCA and SDCA cycles, etc.).
• May be called upon to assist other personnel/departments as directed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED required / Valid Driver's License
• Individual must be highly motivated with a safe, positive, can-do attitude.
• Requires good working knowledge of all aspects of Accounting.
• Payroll Experience preferred.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to achieving company goals by focusing on safety, quality, and productivity through plant excellence programs with a focus on continuous improvements and standardization of jobs.
• Exhibits positive influence among peers and management.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both strong verbal and written skills. Ability to openly participate with transparency and communicate in team, committee, and training activities.
• Proficiency in the Spanish language a plus.
• Must have the ability to solve and help team members work through complex problems.
• Must have excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive information
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Power point, Word)
