You will report to the Director of Accounting and provides support to the Americas region. The person in this role will be the owner for Accounts Payable and payments facilitated through A/P systems. The person will also help lead the transition of work from other locations to the Shared Service Center team.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the A/P team
Provide guidance, coordination, and training to A/P staff on Accounts Payable policies and procedures
Ensure internal controls are followed in accordance with policy
Create, maintain, and optimize processes related to service delivery
Propose and execute projects for improvement in the area of A/P
Ensure pay runs are completed on schedule
Manage the month end, quarter end and year-end close tasks with regards to A/P
Manage the 1099 year-end reporting
Provide dashboards of A/P KPI’s to stakeholders
Work with vendors and outside departments to resolve issues
Assist auditors with documents and questions to support their testing
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
10+ years of experience, 5 + years leading people
Knowledge of GAAP and Accounting Principals Proven ability to direct Accounts Payable and related disbursements
Experience working with large ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft AX is a plus
Understanding of Accounting and Financial processes including risk and financial controls
Experience working in a Shared Services Center desired, but not required
