Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing Homes By WestBay corporate team in Riverview, FL. The AP Manager supervises and leads staff members within the Accounts Payable department of an organization. This position is responsible for hiring and training department staff and maintaining accurate financial, client and staff records.

AP Manager Job Requirements:

• Manages and trains the team of AP staff.
• Leads the month-end closing process.
• Maintains AP automation tools.
• Reviews Accounts Payable transactions.
• Enforces and upholds systems, procedures, and policies related to Accounts Payable; formulate new policies as necessary.
• Investigates Accounts Payable issues as needed.
• Builds relationships with vendors.
• Fosters open communication channels with vendors, stressing the importance of following payment policies.
• Assists Corporate Controller in creating procedures that create efficiency.
• Ensures payments are made accurately and on time.
• Oversees Notice to Owner (NTO) and lien releases.
• Supervises receipt and review of vendor statements.
• Offers Accounts Payable support to other departments, with a focus on cultivating robust internal relationships.
• Handles annual 1099 preparation and reporting.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar fields.
• Minimum Experience: 3-5 Years
• Field of Expertise: AP automation programs.
• Demonstrate leadership experience in the field of account payable.
• Knowledge of processing financial transactions in a complex, high volume environment.
