The Accounts Payable Clerk performs bookkeeping functions in connection with maintaining the financial records of the hospital.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Processes standard and purchase order invoices on a daily basis including patient refunds and employee reimbursements.
- Reconciles vendor statements and handles necessary vendor correspondence.
- Maintain and update vendor files as needed.
- Prepares 1099 forms and submission of files to IRS and Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
- Maintains and requests checks when needed for petty cash.
- Order and maintain department supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Completes department-specific orientation and annual competencies for this position.
Requirements of this position include:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of previous bookkeeping experience
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm; ability to proficiently use calculator; high level of mathematic and bookkeeping skills.
