Performs Accounts Payable functions.
Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
- Managing Accounts Payable using accounting software and other programs
- Processes vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Processes vendor payments and runs associated reports using accounting software
- Completes month end accrual journal entries
- Monthly reconciliation of vendor statements
- Reconciliation of system generated accrued receipts
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Observe all company rules and policies, i.e. safety, 5S, attendance
- Participate and work in a team atmosphere
- Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship
- Suggest procedure improvements that improve quality, productivity, and reduce cost
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 year Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Ability to learn and retain new concepts.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and/or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
