Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk monitors and prepares all Accounts Payable and its related information.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares vendor invoices weekly.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Reviews vendor trial balance and prepares report for authorization of all vendor payments.
- Prepares all vendor checks with appropriate back up.
- Balances vendor statements monthly.
- Prepares journal entries for monthly EFT payments.
- Fills out vendor credit applications as needed.
- Processes vendor 1099’s at year end.
- Other designated duties as required by Controller.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience in accounting is required for this position, preferably in a resort/hotel setting.
Education:
A minimum of a One-year Certificate from an accredited college or technical school in accounting is required for this position.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
- Strong computer skills, especially with MS Office products (especially Access and Excel).
