Accounts Payable Associate

David Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join the Accounting team at our Houston home office near 610 & Katy Freeway. If you are highly motivated and want to be a team player, we have an opportunity for you.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Process checks and electronic payments
  • Print checks
  • Run back charge/return reports
  • Review checks
  • Sort for signatures and special handling requests
• Verifying checks through the bank system; stop payment
• Void and reissue checks
• Run Positive Pay reports and submit to the bank daily
• Review and process credit card transactions
• Review and process electronic expense reports
• Respond to internal and external customers questions
• Review and enter invoices
  • Check for required approvals
  • PO match in JDE
  • Miscellaneous general & administrative (GAAP)
  • Run SubPay and GAAP processes
• Other special projects

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Accounts Payable or equivalent work experience
• Microsoft Excel experience and proficiency
• Ability to manage time and work effectively with high transactional volume
• Accuracy and attention to detail a must
• Self-starter, adaptable, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good listener, able to resolve customer/vendor issues
• High level of integrity, energy and organization
• Team player with a positive, “willing to do whatever it takes” attitude
