Description: The Accounting Manager will play a dynamic role, overseeing the core accounting and finance functions, while also being hands-on with day-to-day operational needs, from inventory reconciliation and daily cash management, to month end account reporting. This individual will own financial statements, and determine the allocation of workload among the Finance department. They need to be a team player who is willing to wear many hats.

Essential Functions:
- Oversee accounting functions including financial reporting, AP, AR, payroll, month end closing, and timely financial statement deliverables
- Create and improve upon ad hoc financial reporting to provide to various business leaders
- Support in preparation and managing compliance for annual audit procedures
- Continually improve upon system processes to build upon efficiencies
- Work with all department heads to establish and monitor budgets and discuss ongoing performance against budgets and forecasts
- Not afraid of change - ability to identify ways to improve processes and implement automation
- Good understanding of GAAP accounting
- Knowledge of Cost accounting, with inventory and accounting for retail operations a plus
- Works with auditors on interim and year end audits
- Supervises AP, AR, GL functions
- Must be very hands on (with accounting work), but must also be able to see the big picture in order to make sure our reporting is accurate
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, year-end financials in accordance with GAAP
- Tracking and reporting of core financial and non-financial KPIs
- Reporting monthly financial results to members of the Executive Team & Board Members
- Preparation of Board level deliverables
- Serve as primary contact for external audits
- Assists in preparing annual budget and long term corporate forecast
- Work with all department heads to establish and monitor budgets and discuss ongoing performance against budgets and forecasts
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Finance team members as needed
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
- Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff. #GFAMNH1
Requirements:

- Experience with Sage Intact strongly preferred
- Proficiency in accounting and operational support software as well as Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA preferred.
- Experience in public accounting a plus
- Supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting, financial reporting, consolidations and audit preparation
- Desire to roll up your sleeves to drive process improvements and create new processes
- Strong communication skills with a positive team-oriented attitude
- Someone who is a self starter, who is proactive/takes initiative and can step in and start adding value right away
- Experience preparing financial statements and relaying information to Executive level team members
- A combination of professional or educational experience (whether formal or informal) that affords you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities above

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
