Technica seeks to fill the position Accounting Clerk III on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, Texas

Position Description:
The Accounting Clerk III maintains journals or subsidiary ledgers of an accounting system and balances and reconciles accounts.
Typical duties include the following:
Reviewing invoices and statements verifying information, ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated, and ifquestionable, resolving with the submitting unit determining accounts involved. The review will include coding transactions,and processing material through data processing for application in the accounting system;
Analysis and reconciliation of computer printouts with operating unit reports (contacting units, researching causes ofdiscrepancies, and taking action to ensure that accounts balance). Supervisor provides suggestions for handling unusual ornon-recurring transactions. Conformance with requirements and technical soundness of completed work are reviewed bythe supervisor, or are controlled by mechanisms built into the accounting processes.
Submit or approve purchase requests in an automated purchasing system, ensuring funds are available prior to approval.
Submit invoices to the customer, providing all documentation and back up.
Balance check registers for multiple accounts
Assist in timecard verification and close out
Analyze and reconcile computer printouts. (contacting sections, researching causes of discrepancies, and taking action toensure that accounts balance).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
18 years of age or older
Valid state driver's license
Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
Attention to detail a must
Proficient in Excel
Must have at least five years' experience of the above duties
