Accounting Clerk

Signature Travel Network is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to provide essential support to our accounting manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong interest in accounting to kick-start their career and translate theoretical accounting concepts to day-to-day functions while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a growing industry. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and goal-oriented, and have a high attention to detail without fear of asking questions.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:

• General accounting support in the following areas: (AP, AR, banking, payroll, and journal entries)
• Document management of physical and electronic files, along with compliance with document retention policies.
• Various accounting/administrative projects as assigned by the accounting manager
• Generating and sending out invoices in collaboration with other departments.
• Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, receipts, accounts payable).
• Data entry using QuickBooks and Excel (advanced import/export functions or a serious interest in advanced database management is a plus).
• Reconciling records with internal company employees, management, or external vendors and customers.
• Investigating questionable data and recommending actions to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications of the Accounting Clerk:

• B.S. or A.S. in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (excel formulas and Word).
• Experience with SmartSheet and/or Access Database is a plus.
• Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task under pressure in a highly dynamic environment is a must.
• Math and analytical skills are required.
