Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk for a growing client in Cincinnati, OH. Ideal candidate will have experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and also have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $18 and $24/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files.
- Generate and send customer invoices in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer balances.
- Record customer payments and reconcile discrepancies.
- Prepare and send customer statements on a regular basis.
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries and ensuring accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
- Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile credit card statements and allocate expenses to the appropriate accounts.
- Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring all documents are filed and easily accessible.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues in various departments to gather necessary information for financial transactions.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
