SalaryJob Summary:
The Village of Fayette seeks a permanent Utility Billing Clerk. Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting customers, answering phone calls and taking messages, collecting and depositing all monies collected for the village (utility payments, impound fees, trash tags, shelter house rentals, donations, etc), preparing monthly Utility Billing and delinquent notices, printing and sorting bills, computer file maintenance, reconciling cash drawer, and maintaining adequate levels of office supplies. Occasional evening meetings are required.
Depending on abilities, duties may also include assisting residents with village income tax and assisting the fiscal officer with payroll or other accounting work.
Minimum requirements include high school diploma, capable of being bonded. Knowledge of Excel a plus. Salary is dependent on qualifications.
