Accounting Clerk

FOUNDATION AUTOMOTIVE is seeking a dedicatedAccounting Clerk to join our team at Jones Chevrolet (Humboldt). As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing all of the accounting areas responsibilities for the dealership.

Responsibilities:

• General accounting duties
• Perform all accounting areas responsibilities, training will be provided.
• Checks all vouchers and obtains appropriate payment approval.
• Prepares accounts payable checks.
• Posts all open items in accounts payable daily.
• Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
• Reconciles cash schedule.
• Communicates cash requirements for payable dates to the office manager.
• Analyzes vendor accounts.
• Answers all vendor inquiries.
• Assists in monthly closings.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
• Perform accounts receivable duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience in accounting, automotive experience is a plus.
• Dealertrack and/or Reynolds & Reynolds Experience is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
