Provide general support in the accounting department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Data entry for accounting activities (AP, AR)
• Verifying the accuracy of invoices
• Processing vendor invoices and credits
• Answers vendor inquiries on payment status and reconciliation
• Preferred experience in handling manufacturing AP invoices (raw materials, maintenance, capex)
• Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILL

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situation to customers, clients, and to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Should have knowledge of accounting software; Mainframe Database software; Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Outlook Internet software; payroll systems; Excel spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
REASONING ABILITY
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
