How you will spend your day as an Accounting Clerk :
Process daily check runs.
Enter invoices for payment.
Research & resolve Accounts Payable Purchase Order (APPO) discrepancies to prepare for timely payment of invoices.
Reconcile APPO to purchase invoices.
Obtain approval from yard managers for expense invoices prior to payment.
Monitor account statements for accuracy and past due/short paid invoices.
Maintain detailed contact information and note discrepancies to ensure that we have documentation in the event further action is needed.
Download and print invoices from vendor websites as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate files.
Provide administrative support as needed.
Work closely with management to identify needs and provide feedback.
Process invoices in timely manner.
Develop good working relationships with vendor & customer personnel.
Develop good working relationships with our managers, purchasing personnel and salespersons.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Assist with answering phones.
